A comparison video someone posted a week or so ago highlights this- original SS had good contrast between environment and items. It doesn’t have to be screaming-bright gold like Bioshock, but just a little shimmer would be nice. I’m largely fine with this, however non-junk items really need some sort of standout indicator, particularly for certain critical items like keycards and logs. The lack of any overt objective reminder is classic SS.“Do I have time to use a med patch with a gor-tiger bearing down on me?” is a reasonable concern. Item usage CSs are annoying, but eh… they’re brief enough and adds a bit of thought to using them. The delay in loading an item’s name when a previous item’s name is still in the box is inexplicably unnecessary. Having just finished the full backer beta, your criticisms are still largely founded. there is a lot of good things about it too, I am trying to point out a few things that in my opinion need some adjustments for a better experienced and to be immersed. I keep updating as I am playing! Glad system shock is making a return let's make it a good one To scroll through the media with mouse wheel you your cursor needs to be between two or won't scroll.Īudio logs dont feel as important, sometimes there's three togetherĮnemies you explode their loot is lost or stuck, should be able to still interact with corpse No indication of what you need to do (coming from system shock 2 and even there you could see some objectives) I hate being told where to go with markers and stuff but objectives should be there.Ĭutscenes like healing pods, I mean really? It's cool the first time. The display of what the item you are pointing at, for example junk, isnt immediate and I waste so much time looking at everything.
